deBCor Engineering Secures USPTO Registration of the deBCor “d” Device Mark

Registered Feb. 11, 2025 (USPTO Reg. No. 7,684,106), the design mark for the stylized lowercase “d” device anchors the deBCor visual identity on the Principal Register across International Classes 9, 35, 36, and 42 — covering software, business consulting, financial services, and IT services.

Las Vegas, Nevada — Feb. 11, 2025 — deBCor Engineering today confirmed that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued registration for the deBCor “d” device mark on the Principal Register. The design mark — the stylized lowercase “d” with the top half of the text in a brighter shade than the bottom half — anchors the visual identity that has appeared on deBCor's software products and customer-facing materials since the firm's founding in 1997.

The mark is registered to deBCor Industries, Ltd., a Nevada corporation headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, and may be verified on the USPTO Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS) under registration number 7,684,106.

Design Mark

deBCor “d” device

The stylized letter “d” in lowercase — with the top half of the text in a brighter shade than the bottom half. A standalone glyph, recognizable on its own as a brand mark, that can appear independently of the deBCor wordmark in product UI, favicon, app icons, badges, and short-form brand applications.

USPTO Reg. No. 7,684,106

Registered Feb. 11, 2025

Int. Cl. 9, 35, 36, 42

Why a design mark matters

Design marks protect the specific visual expression of a brand — independent of any wordmark. A standalone “d” glyph at app-icon scale, embedded in a product UI, or used as a watermark on collateral is recognizable to customers without the full deBCor Engineering wordmark visible. The USPTO registration gives deBCor enforceable rights against look-alike design treatments by other firms operating in the same categories: software (Int. Cl. 9), business consulting (Int. Cl. 35), financial services (Int. Cl. 36), and information technology services (Int. Cl. 42).

The mark is the first of three USPTO trademark registrations that together constitute deBCor's comprehensive brand-defense portfolio. Additional registrations covering the deBCor Engineering wordmark and the standard- character DEBCOR ENGINEERING name are pending and expected to issue in 2026.
